It was a brave new day. A determination to explore another aspect of this side of Capri set me on a solo journey to find 'Villa Jovis' a Roman Palace built by Emperor Tiberius & completed in AD27. Although it is the ruins that remain I was intrigued to climb up high to check out the magnificent views. The actual remains of the Villa are situated high & quite secluded. When Tiberius occupied the Villa the premises were heavily guarded for his protection.
As I climbed the narrow pathways & rocky grounds to reach the top of 334m elevation I was finally rewarded with what your eyes now see! The views just kept getting bigger & better. Hot summer days, dreamy nights & views to die for are the echo of my call returning back to this place I call magic!
